Becoming Better Together
Jo's Story
Jo, a dedicated member of the local Methodist church, recently found attending services nearly impossible due to a new injury. The stairs and heavy entrance door formed physical barriers, excluding them from worship. Jo’s struggle highlights a common issue: access barriers can be physical, social, or systemic. The “Becoming Better Together” project is our church’s commitment to dismantling these obstacles, ensuring every person can fully participate in church life, exactly as they are.
Our Action Plan
Over the next two years, the project will focus on:
- Inspiring Action: Encouraging churches and circuits to commit to at least one impactful change.
- Strengthening Connections: Hosting “Better Together” days to build networks and exchange best practices.
