CSO Training Briefing Bulletin

Foundation Module Training – Remains the responsibility of the Circuit, but remember we are here to support you.

1. ELearning Version – Through MCBX Training Portal

Individuals can self register and complete the course, providing their Circuit with the certificate on completion

Creating Safer Spaces – Foundation Module | MCBX

2. Train the Trainer – Zoom led session for CIRCUIT TRAINERS

23rd June 2026 – 7p

Book in by emailing Elaine Lawrence – admin@swpmethodist.org.uk

Advanced Module Training – Remains the responsibility of the District, however we now have a training team which means that a trainer maybe closer than thought! The District keeps the Central Register of Training and so it is essential that any training delivered by local trainers is registered with Elaine Lawrence.

To note. If a trainer wishes to be trained to deliver with our training team, they will need to be recommended by a RoS, Aligned LN Training Officer or Superintendent. The Advanced Module requires two trained trainers to deliver it, with the addition of a Chaplain.

The options of Advanced Training:

1. Zoom Facilitated Sessions provided by the District Core Training Team – for dates and booking contact Elaine Lawrence – admin@swpmethodist.org.uk

Next date: 16th June 2026 6-9pm

2. Fully Facilitated Onsite Sessions provided by members of the District Training Team. These can be requested through contact with the RoS’s who will triage need and look to central areas to gather people. If your Circuit has a member of the training team, then these will be locally organised.

3. ELearning Version – Through MCBX Training Portal.

Individuals need to register for this course option through Elaine Lawrence – admin@swpmethodist.org.uk

On completion of the online content an individual will receive a certificate. They are then asked to take questions to a gathered session. All Foundation Module Trained Trainers/Members of the District Training Team can provide this and then register completion of the course with their Circuit register and that of the District.
